Cost Drivers
Course area, head and asset counts, field identification, existing map quality, controller version, conversion work, travel and revisits affect the estimate.
Questions Before Ordering
Will irrigation or play need to stop?
Describe play schedules, access rules and any system operating constraints. The field plan and any required interruptions need to be agreed with the course; no shutdown-free promise is made.
How are unknown pipe routes handled?
Identify them as unknown or record-derived until separately verified. The proposal should state whether locating or additional investigation is included.
How do we accept the files?
Agree asset identifiers, layers, export formats and, where relevant, a check in the target control system with the course team.
What to Send
Include the course location, controller/software name, approximate asset count, available drawings and the main issue to solve. Detailed mapping and accuracy information can follow the initial inquiry.
Undocumented buried pipes cannot be established from imagery alone. Agree how staff knowledge, supplied plans, field observations and any separate locating work are recorded. Controller names are not a guarantee of compatibility with every version or configuration.
